term three summary

 This term,the thing i enjoyed most was doing a rotation with room ,2,3 and four.

I really liked it when we went to room 3 and made Taonga because  we got to make many different things.Two of them were called Mania and Koru.We could also make extra Taonga's.
  The one thing i didn't really enjoy was knowing that Mrs Todd is away and us having a reliever.
In term four I am really looking forward to The mystery trip with the other year 5 and six classes.

R.E for term 3

This term for R.E we have been making projects.My project was about Stephen the first martyr.Stephen was one of the first deacons in the christians church..He died at the age of 36.He died at the Jerusalem feast day 26 of July.

Planting a tree

Today after morning tea we grew a tree at the back of the courts.The tree was called Cherry.The caretaker Mrs Strathern bought the tree to us and she planted it with help from Zoie.Then Mrs Strathern watered it.

The digestive system

Today we worked on the digestive system.We used bread,funnel,stick,food coloring and scissors.First Mrs Todd cut bread into a ice cream bowl.Then she mashed it with a mashing thing.After that she put it in a zip lock back with green food coloring.She mashed it more then put it into a sock put the sock in a funnel and it turned into green poo.

Calendar art

This year,our theme for calendar art was opposites.I chose to do day and night.So i halved my paper diagonally  and i drew one half sunny and the other half dark.My calendar art looks shiny but dark.I call that together....SHARK

Times tables

Today we were seeing which times tables we Know .I know my 1's 2's 3's 5's 6's 7's 9's 10's and 11's.

I need to work on my four times and my 12 and 4 times tables.But i do know a couple of them.The ones with circles around i don't know them and the rest i do.
